Narang Realty and Wadhwa Group’s premier residential development, Courtyard located in Thane West concluded their very first community event of the year called “The Courtyard Premier League Season 1” exclusively for the residents of Courtyard, an event which witnessed a fun n frolic sports festival exclusively for the residents to enjoy & celebrate. Courtyard is a well-designed project with a serene environment, lush greenery & amenities for all ages. A 7 acre gated community that offers the best living spaces in Thane at Pokhran Road 2. THE EVENT
The event ran into 3 days of high voltage action, grit and excitement with an intra tower competition. It was held on 23rd, 24th and concluded on 26th of January 2021, which saw the participation of men, women & children in equal numbers. Residents aged 7 to 70 participated in the event with equal passion and enthusiasm. This intra – tower competition was played out over 5 sports – Cricket, Football, Table Tennis, Carrom and Chess and there were in all 118 matches played and over 215 residents participated in this truly spectacular show of grit, determination and fortitude to win the inaugural Courtyard Premier League.
PLANNING
The vision of Narang Realty and Wadhwa Group was to create a community that has ample space for sports, recreational activities and overall a healthier lifestyle through indoor and outdoor amenities. Courtyard boasts of a 24,000 sq ft club house, one of the biggest in Thane. Other amenities include Multipurpose court, Cross-functional training area, Fitness centre, and a football court. For the fitness freaks Courtyard has a 400 m jogging track to sweat it out and 4 swimming pools for various aqua based activities. Similarly for Indoor activities, Courtyard has Squash Courts, Gymnasium, Table Tennis and a games room for carrom and chess. So a well thought-out plan was to, have the residents not only utilize these facilities but also compete and put their best shoe forward.
TEAM BONDING
Being an Intra-tower competition, the sports feast became even more competitive and members participated in large numbers. Families of participated joined in to cheer and hoot for them and their teams. Residents had a wonderful time and were happy to be a part of the event. “Enthusiasm has gone through the roof” as quoted by residents. some residents did mention that they were participating in such event after many years and were thoroughly enjoying the moment. Women of all ages came in full strength to showcase their competitive spirit and talent and the matches went down to the wire.
WINNERS
Ultimately the idea of this spectacular event was to build team bonding and residents to come together as a community. But being a sports event, we ought to have winner. Tower Florence was crowned the winner of inaugural Courtyard Premier League. While the remaining 3 towers, Ivy, Onyx and Ornella were tied for the second spot.
Emphasis on work-life balance
