All my life, I have been a Thaneboy. But off late, I’ve been thinking of moving away to a complex with better lifestyle thatgives me all the outdoor amenities for which I need to visit individual facilities across the city. I’ve been wanting to purchase a new property and just the sky-rocketing prices of real estate in Mumbai has my head spinning. But more importantly, I have come to realise that Thane is genuinely the place to stay due to its waaay better planning and development of green zones and infrastructure. All the research though lead me to look up Pokhran Road 2 in Thane that’s a highly sought after residential locality. Thane is a well-planned city just a few minutes ahead of Mumbai that’s becoming a residence to many looking for some breathing space away but not far from the chaos of a megacity. And Pokhran Road 2 particularly has me bowled over. With a plethora of facilities available just at walking distance, this vicinity is a great place to start over especially for a family of four, with kids and their unending needs. With a relatively higher standard of living, Pokhran Road 2 has some of the best green spaces, malls, schools, hospitals and restaurants spread out in and around for utmost convenience. It even has a lake! Since Thane is growing as a smart city, the number of facilities available here are umpteen especially on Pokhran Road 2. Well-managed infrastructure with less traffic and endless options for entertainment and recreation are a high point of living here. The area is well connected with city’s arterial roads and railway options and cabs and auto rickshaws are easily available. Pokhran Road is where the prestigious Sulochanadevi Singhania School is along with close proximity of Viviana Mall that houses the best of international brands and top-notch restaurants and eateries. I think its one of the best malls in the city. Hospitals such as Bethany and Jupiter are also in this area. The nearby Upvan Lake and Yeoor hills make for great green spots that are also amazing for a day out. All banks have branches and ATMs spread across the locality while DMart and Nature’s Basket is also situated here, fulfilling all the needs of the residents of this area and providing them a much better quality of life. In fact, literally everything is within 2 km radius of this locality. And while I was intrigued learning of how self-sufficient Pokhran Road 2 is, elevating it to the best residential locality in Thane currently, I also discovered Courtyard Thane, an apartment complex being built by The Wadhwa Group and Narang Realty. This apartment complex will be like a mini world situated on 7 acre land once completed in a couple of years.The property has a 2 acre large community park next door (built by them) and 4 acres of central greens and amenities . This means there’s a whole lot of fresh air, bright light and will have space for the children to play. Theyare also developing a 400m jogging track and 4 swimming pools apart from a dedicated skating bowl, an amphitheatre, Jacuzzi, interactive water fountain, herb garden, separate kids play area, football turf and treehouse. The club house which is already being constructed will have a fully equipped gymnasium with concierge service, banquet hall, café, crèche service, 2 full size squash courts, games room, VR Zone and spa lounge. Isn’t that amazing? There is so much happening at Pokhran Road 2 and Courtyard is the cherry on the cake.
